Banana Trees At Moorehaven Koi Gardens, Mukilteo

I was surprised to find banana tress growing in the PNW. I guess our two months of summer, with such long long days that just get heated up by 3PM are ripe for most fruits and vegetables. So maybe my garden planted mid June still has a chance..

I have baby radishes about 2" tall, and carrots coming up, squash, and lettuce that is almost 3 inches tall already.

Now, if I can protect this garden from the infamous "banana Slugs" of the PNW, maybe I'll even get food! One year I had giant sunflowers about 3.5 ft tall, One day the flowers were 3" across, and the next morning, no flower at all, Banana Slugs!
