The marina and reflections in the water. Azaleas and rhododendrons in bloom. Lilacs too.

The clouds came in dark and brooding, kicked up the winds and it managed to throw a few sprinkles our way. That’s all from such a menacing cloud.

Some photos of cloudy days, rainy days and storms plus a little snow

Always looking for something colorful to Post…

Above is a Samarkand small bolinpush suzani, hand embroidered.                                                                               Below is a Mongolian yurt wall cover. Siberia.
              The reindeer people.

Suzani. Samarkand  below. All hand embroidered.

Some I chose from an album that are bright and colorful from all seasons to brighten cloudy much needed rainy days.
I love rain anyway.
As a very young child I didn’t see why I had to stop playing outdoors when showers broke out in spring time.
I don’t recall why I was sent to my room but I think I wasn’t very quiet about having to come inside.
To my room I’d go and stand on my little bed, opening the latched window and that way I can as very close to the rain anyway, and after the robins hopped out, I did too. Back out to be with my precious outdoors. My great friend and companion doing I don’t even know what. Exploring like all true adventures I guess!

The Marina

I was aboard the walk on ferry to Hat Island to check out some homes but the ferry was broken down.
I went onto the sunny deck and made a pillow from my sweater and it felt good to encounter an old friend, Sol, shining down on me, I slipped quickly into a  pleasant nap.

I'm thinking this should become a daily routine. If only the ferry would break down more often, and ole Sol would show up more often. It was blue skies yesterday.
The marine air and quiet peacefulness of Marina life complemented  the warmth of the sun and I'm not sure how long I slept.
Soon I was awakened to catch a boat ride to the isle and spent the time there until dusk looking at island homes.
Sunset appeared as the ferry, finally functioning for the ride back over crossed the water way back to the Marina, and home on the other side.
