Of Suzanis, Lilacs, and ikat Skies
This suzani is from the mid 1800's. The silk feels like ribbon to touch. The colors have muted over time, Natural dyes. It is a beautiful work of art, undiminished, even more beautiful I'd say.
Fog is always welcome here..
Hawthorne
Greens are so lovely, I could do all the yard in simply green and it would be a treasure..

A foggy morn.
The fog is so soothing, near water where it forms it keeps temperatures more even. For years I have used a humidifier in my bedroom, even living in this moist clime. I find that I feel better sleeping with moist air, it's not stuffy. Some people thought I was a nut, but as it turns out, now they have found that it actually defends physically against germs, which cling to moisture and fall to the ground quickly.( A very physical explanation).
I don't get colds either, at least rarely. I use a humidifier air filter so it also clean the air.
I think i'm going to get a whole house one next.
Here are a few products I have found so far.
Honeywell HAW500 HydraPure Air Washer 2-in-1 Air Purifier and Humidifier
SPT SU-4010 Ultrasonic Dual-Mist Warm/Cool Humidifier with Ion Exchange Filter
Essick Air 4D7 300 Whole-House Console-Style Evaporative Humidifier, Lith Oak

Horses In The Fog near Mt Baker

Mt. Baker is a volcano about 2 hours from my home.
When I went to Baker (MT) for the full moon,
I saw this pasture with rolling fog on the way home early in the morning.
It was so beautiful, early though, maybe not a very illuminated shot.
There are three volcanoes out that way, north, and of course
Mt Rainier is South and East of here, along with Mt Adams and St. Helens.
These photos can be viewed much better by enlarging, and I have been selecting a nice large size for viewing.
