Bumble bee and 9 other hot air balloons in snowy Winthrop!!
I was driving in the countryside when I first spotted the balloons. What a great idea, I thought, ballooning over the snow.
That night four balloons filled the streets of the small town and people appeared in throngs to enjoy the hot breathe of the balloons and the bright designs and colors they offered.
In the morning there were again seen in the early morning sky. And at the time I had been dreaming of ballooning myself. I've always wanted to balloon.. And snow, tulip fields and safari seem like the best choices.
I hope I'll get to go, I've wished it since college when I received a letter from the clouds saying they had waited for me to join them via balloon. One of my imaginative friends.
Other than balloons, the snow was lovely, and the stars were big and beautiful. A treat for me. I had a great time and now I'm thinking I'd like a hot air balloon to take me back to Winthrop and drop me off for dinner and I'll get a room and stay for a few days until someone comes to pick me up ;-)
.... maybe another balloon?
Sorry my photos aren't close enough to see the balloons, but I'll post links below the photos..
Colorful balloons:
Balloons fixed in the sky like ornaments. Unmoving. One is a bumblebee!!

Winthrop Washington. Snow country.
Notice there are deer amongst the horses.
They are mule deer, very large, with big furry ears.
Beautiful creatures.

The Rug Store. Langley WA. On Whidbey Island
I love this store, but too many choices, and very pricey.
I get better deals on rugs. I'd love to have this store as mine though.
Prices would be less, and I'd sell online, too, and travel to buy rugs, which they do.
I took quick shots, my phone was dying, so no more photos of Langley, sorry.
The have jewelry, beads, rugs, yurt accessories, camel bags, hats, slippers, pillows, robes of many colors..
It just overwhelms me.

Happy hearts day!!!
I love china, I guess it springs from childhood where i had my very own china dishes.
This plate is Luminsov, which is Russian. See how my love for China grew to encompass so much in the way of dishes?
I have Pillivuyt from France, and have had Noritake. I gave the china to my daughter. I had 12 of everything and 14 of many. But I like the classic gourmet white of Pillivuyt, and the tea sets of Luminsov.
My pattern is Queen Anne, but Plisse here is also very nice and easier to find.
Sancerre is really nice in that it has a very ample size pasta/soup bowl.
Here are some nice children's tea sets to get a child started on the road to collecting china.
And I want this soup Tureen Next
It's the classic soup Tureen.
And ok, I love these glasses, they're made in Frances oldest glassworks, La Rochere.
They're the bees knees!
