Today in the valley.It was really hot out there, in greenhouses, etc. Nice enough for an A/C picnic in the car though, parked in the shade..

Travel is still rare due to the virus, but we can travel in other ways, virtually..

 

The lilies are blooming and sweet fragrance is everywhere..

Ok I guess they fixed the header. I'm in the bamboo now!

Nice to have my blog back...

Some of my bamboo haven't made it to my computer yet, and lilies are blooming etc. I hope they transfer soon..meanwhile enjoy some timber bamboo.

 

Blogger still is oblivious to their header problem.

 I won’t post more until they fix it. This is so unprofessional. I could go into the template but I’m not going to.

Heat Wave in Mukilteo, PNW.. What to do.

 Give the clouds ideas. 

Water your lawn and plants and trees. 

Water the sides of your houses especially if brick. The South and West sides. 

Spray your roof with water  

Keep windows covered on the south and west sides. Tin foil or some reflective board. Keep blinds  closed when the suns shining. Close inside doors to that side of house if possible and use an exhaust fan to pull air out. 

Use your kitchen exhaust fan to remove hot air. 

Freeze ice in plastic bags. 

If screens are torn, mend them. At least with duct tape if you can’t replace screen at this late date. 

Water gardens etc morning and evening

Set a block of ice in front of a fan in a bowl to cool air in your immediate vicinity and in bedroom at night. Take the ice out of the bag to add cool moisture. 

Go to a cooling off place in Snohomish County or your county. 

Go to the snow line. 

Camp in the shade of your yard if you have a large tent. 

 Employ ice and fans. 

Do whatever your common sense suggests to stay cool. Take a shower. 

Have fun and thank goodness for the rain whether you see it or not! That is a rain dance!
