The Quinault Rain Forest...

175" of rain annually.
It's a temperate rain forest. Trees grow faster here than anywhere on earth.

Mostly it was all cut down 100 years ago by Weyerhaeuser. It's a wild place. A temperate jungle. Cool temps. Giant trees were 1000 years old.

Typical rain forest green.

Abundant water falls..

Picturesque lakes and rivers...

My home :-)
Beautiful!

Our weekend at Lake Quinault Lodge for Mothers Day....

The lodge built in about 59 days time.
It gets 175" rain annually, so had to get  it built
Before rains set in.

It cost $90,000.00 when it was built.
Such a great temperate rain forest!
One if 5 in our state of Washington.

One of many waterfalls. We hike to them and it's so Amazingly beautiful.

We 're at the river here...
