Destination: Wallace Falls, 40 minutes

Sixteen years ago, when I first moved here, I was taken on this hike to Wallace Falls for my first hike in the area. This is the Wallace River. Out highway 2 towards Leavenworth near Gold bar I believe, is Wallace Falls State Park. It's a nice hike in the foothills and is a striking  portrait of our temperate rain forest where trees grow faster than any place on earth.
