Vino...

Vino

On hot summer days, a glass of vino, a nice sorbet, or a salty lassi..
umm, what could be better, watermelon?
A splash in the Sound, yes, I did that yesterday. I rolled up my pants to walk in the surf, but ended up waist deep in the water, Oh well, it looks like I was being an adult, trying to do the 'adult' thing.. lol
Instead I became the accidental child I really am.

So click on this menu and you'll have to go to Marcello's..

Loaf with me awhile... @ Japanese Gulch

Japanese Gulch
This was taken from a bridge over the gulch.
I don't know how deep this Gulch is, very very deep, scary deep :)

It's filled with green, and so many plants I can't begin to mention them, sure giant ferns abound.

People ride bikes here, hike, etc. but Japanese Gulch has a history, you can read about it by clicking on the photo below. You might be interested in the history as well as saving the Gulch.
It's home to the Pileated Woodpecker, Black Tail Deer, Great Blue Heron.

Of course, there are those who want to develop Japanese Gulch, and therefore we have a group of those who want to save it as well.
May the earth prevail.

Earth:

"If a man walk in the woods for love of them half of each day, he is in danger of being regarded as a loafer; but if he spends his whole day as a speculator, shearing off those woods & making earth bald before her time, he is esteemed an industrious enterprising citizen." (Thoreau)

beautiful rooms full of instruments
They said they can restring my pentatonic lyre.
Yes! I've looked everywhere for strings..

I want this instrument for my collection of primitive instruments.
It has a nice tone,, and it's beautiful!

But watch out for the paper on the tables, I got a paper cut 1st thing.
I was given a ban-aide, and later was told I was the only person who put a band-aide in the wrong place and wore it to fix my cut.. :)

I just more or less drove to Marcello's the other day, and I have never been there, it was early, before 5, but open for dinner. Had the whole place to ourselves..food was great, but I don't need any more dishes with pasta and creme sauce..

Mukilteo Ferry in dock

Here is the ferry in daylight, well, our daylight, as over cast as it is. We have long days here, 4:30 to 10 or so..but again this year, we had summer in spring, and here in July, it's foggy and coolish.
Usually our summers are July and August, I wonder when we'll hit summer?

Not complaining understand, I love fog, and gray skies, long or short days..walking in drizzle, hiking in mud is one of my favorite things to do ( Shi Shi Beach).
I love what it does out there in the out of doors that makes the earth varied and beautiful.
