Harem at Capitol Hill

Art opening tonight

Victoria Landis, (my friend), is the owner of Harem.

She sells tribal rugs, ornate ethnic clothing, jewerly, East India bedspreads, lamps and
pillows and more. Before Christmas gets here..... You should stop by
and pick up some special beautiful gifts. She's delightful. And she can teach belly dancing too!!!

Everything is hand made, you know, all those rugs are hand knotted (80 to 130 knots per Sq inch, imagine) in mysterious foreign lands, you have to go see for yourself,.Take a bundle of money along (or cards) and buy lots of presents at Harem. Lets make sure Victoria stays in business, small retailers are having a hard time!

Tagine on the table in green .. a cooking utensil from Morocco.. I really need a tagine!

( I know you're wondering why I don't make one? Cause I have to get a real tagine from Morocco!

Of course!

Below is the wait person at Dilettante,, she is precious.. always waits on me..

Harem, and The Dilettante...

Cool place. Victoria at Harem at Capitol Hill in Seattle across from
Deluxe Bar and Grill next to the Harvard Exit Theatre, and near Quest
Book Store.

If you want to find Victoria,,her new place is called Harem off Broadway. She lost her space, which is still vacant after almost a year. Here is the article. her address is,
1715 East Olive Way (between Harvard Ave and Boylston Ave)

Now if I can locate Dar Salaam who also lost space, in the market, tho.. Moroccan bazaar. I really wanted a domed tagging that he had.
Let me know if you know where he's selling his beautiful wares, etc.

My City. And the Deluxe Bar and Grill at Capitol hill. Seattle

On the way into Seattle, a nice sunset and the Needle in the distance.

Hamburger nite. 4.99 burgers. Every Wednesday night.
I had Fuego burger.
Avacado with jack cheese. Grilled onions. Chilpolte mayo.

A walk in the woods at Mt Rainier

Homeward bound .....

Missing the mountain already..

This is what heaven looks like.....

All taken with iphone

Not great, but I was here..

The woods are alive and colorful, and wet..

A fox played hide and seek with me....

Freddy the fox and some plant life at the mountain..

Mt Rainier.

Snow of about 5' at Paradise, but it was continually wet by rain fall.

This is my friend the silver fox.. we played peek a boo.. he was very curious and hungry,,

Obviously people have been feeding him.

Inside the visitors center. Looking out..
