My colorful World of course there are nuisances, everywhere, I’ve known of some too. But life goes on. Karma does it’s part. I don’t have to worry.

From Goat Trail Road, my shortcut home.

Of Suzanis, Lilacs, and ikat Skies

This suzani is from the mid 1800's. The silk feels like ribbon to touch. The colors have muted over time, Natural dyes. It is a beautiful work of art, undiminished,  even more beautiful I'd say.

                                                           Fog is always welcome here..

Fate meets destiny

Two Suzanis.

They have a silver Ruby bracelet I want and a runner from Pakistan. Likely more Suzani, for my collection and  posterity.

Today was a 2 suzani day.
First I dreamed last night that a package was delivered. In my dream I was unaware of expecting a package yet, when i went to the door a package was there from Uzbekistan.
Then I ferried to the island and went to Bayview Farms Nursery. Freeland area.  ( disappointing, looked a lot like grocery stores in design). Plants were over priced,
And the tunnel wasn’t in bloom. They haven’t spoken of it on their site.
Drove to Langley And had lunch at the marina watching the king fisher. Then went to Music for the Eyes. A suzani I’ve been hoping to find was there and on sale 1/2 price.
That’s when their fate and my destiny crossed paths.  I bought the suzani for my collection. It is from c. 1884.
Here are photos from the day.
