Mukilteo

This used to be called The Mukilteo Coffee Company.
I haven't adapted to it's new name yet, The red Cup?
So, to me it's the Old Mukilteo Coffee Company.

Drop in for A  cup of coffee...

Personally, I'd replace these chairs with old chairs..
 but....:)

It's a nice place with a view.

Third beach

I had to resend these at home. My connection must have been bad when I posted during the weekend.
So here is Third Beach on The Olympic Peninsula. It isn't the most beautiful of beaches there, even of Beaches in the numbers..
But logs are piled about 15 ft. deep on the beach.
And the hike, 1.4 miles one way was very nice..
Had a good weekend, even tho I didn't camp as I had previously thought I would.

Got a late start, so stayed at The Quillyute River Resort, a renovated motel, which they did a superb job on. It's tucked away between The Three Rivers Resort and Mora Campground towards Rialto Beach.

Forks WA

Had wanted to stay here, since finding it in 2006, completely renovated. A very nice Place on The Quillayute River.
resort
Very close to The convergence of the three rivers; Quillayute, Hoh, and Bogashiel.
It was the first day of halibut seasons. I do so want to catch halibut!
It's so delicious!

This is The Crescent Lake Lodge

A very historic place, Roosevelt stayed here when he declared the Olympics, a National Park.
This is a very popular Lodge, and I think my favorite in the state. Laura Bush stayed here when she came to visit WA.
The lake is 9 miles long, clear, and cold, with trout.
You can rent boats here, dine, and stay in cabins or lodge rooms, and motel like facilities.
There is a gift shop.
It's truly a wonderful place, and in late summer, water is warmed up enough for swimming.
I stayed here last fall in the lodge for 4 days.
It's amazing just to watch the clouds change here, Deer are abundant.
Read, relax, boat, walk, hike, and travel to the other destinations on the Peninsula.

This is difficult to get reservations for tho, sometimes they're made years in advance...

Happy. Mothers day moms!!

Happy mothers Day to Every Single Mother and every nurturing soul Today.
May you all be celebrated for what you've done, what you've created, who you are intrinsically. The ones who nuture.

May you be surrounded with those who appreciate you and love you.
May you feel today like the star you are.

Happy Mother's Day

My mother has been gone for 37 years. I always spent mothers day with
her when she was alive. I began getting her a beautiful florist
hydrangea every mothers day (when I was 14),with my baby sitting money.

When I was a little girl I'd go to the woods in where I lived in PA and pick sweet
violets for her. I still remember my little hand oh so full of violets
and so happy to bring her flowers.

I wish I could spend today with her and with my Grandma, or be with my kids who live across the country.

I wish you all a happy day. And I mean this with all my heart. You
are cherished. For the creator and nurturing soul of mother and sister
that all you women are.

Harvesting water. Saves the environment. This is just a rain chain and rainbowl. The rainbarrels hold a lot of water.

I have so far utilized it for the small studio. And it's amazing the amount of water I'm getting and it's not the rainy season. The house will require a lot of storage and I may have to make a rain garden to store water in so that it will seep in and not run off.

I think it's imperative to harvest the water and keep pollutant from going into Possession Sound. Or any other body of water. As it runs off it collects pollutants it then dumps into the water supply

One western red cedar will consume 600 gallons of water per day so I think if water is directed properly there is no need for run off to occur.
