A few paragraphs about my location...Mukilteo Washington

Mukilteo is a small town on the waters of Possession Sound NW of Seattle by 30 minutes.
The Clinton Ferry Transports many of us and visitors to Whidbey Island, to explore it's treasures and those there aboard The Mukilteo Ferry to the mainland to explore ours.
(That Mountain looming in the distance,
some 150 or so miles away is, The Mountain,
as we call it, is a volcano, our very own Mt Rainier)!

This area of the world is beautiful, and variable. A temperate rain forest, trees grow faster here than any place on earth. The Hoh located on The Olympic Peninsula receives somewhere around 150 inches of rain per year, but at Sequim in our banana belt only 17 inches per year.
The tree rings from trees at The Hoh Rain Forest are so large, you can't believe it! Probably a half inch each!

From Whidbey Island which is the 2nd largest island in the US , a ferry is available to take us to The Olympic Peninsula. The small ferry lands after a 30 minute ride at Port Townsend. From there you can drive to Port Angeles and take a ferry to Victoria BC, the capitol of British Columbia, Canada. Or visit the Olympic National Park, Rialto Beach, Shi Shi, Forks WA ,of recent fame, or the stunning Crescent Lake..the list goes on..

From further north of where I live (at Bellingham), you can take the ferry up the inside passage to Alaska. From Anacortez you can take a ferry to The San Juan Islands, Orcas, San Juan, Shaw, and a few others. We are the land of ferry hopping to islands, and we have many more north and south to accommodate our adventures.

We call it God's Country..welcome home!
