Yesterdays Home

This small brown bear was about 20' off the road going to Shadow Lake. He

followed us munching on flowers, then went down the mountain.

We came upon him again down at some meadows still chomping his way down.

 Not much food this year for bears to get ready for winter.

This mornings hike then down to lake Esmeralda de Jerez

The White River at Mt Rainier is very white muddy lower down, 

but up higher here, it's clear and refreshing looking.

It's making its way happily to the sea here from up near the Glacier.

The smell of bacon and eggs hangs in the morning air over White River, while I had yogurt and granola.

Back to Lake Crescent Lodge on the way home for a refreshing look at the blue lake and coffee and a dessert maybe?
