All these trails, easy to climb, no challenge, not very pretty.

Usually found on calendars...

It's sits below Mt Baker (in the northernmost Cascade mountain range in USA)

The lake is named Picture Lake

Plants around the mountain include

The purple huckleberry, corn lily (false helebore), fireweed, a 

native spirea, asters, daisies etc.

It's such a beautiful place on earth. 

And I can see it from my living room 

window on a clear day. 

It's a place where snowboarders come to ski

A favorite place.

Mt Baker yesterday

Mt Baker photo( taken into the sun), but until I go back to camp and hike at Lake Anne Trail a few days, this is the best I could do.
 Anyway, it's iPhone..
Chain Lakes Trail is mostly accessible currently. And... huckleberries are green now, due to be purple by Augusts end.

Mount Rainier is the most heavily glaciated peak in the lower 48 states at 35 square miles of snow and ice with Emmons Glacier being the largest by surface area with 4.3 square miles of ice. The Emmons is best viewed from Sunrise on the NE side of the mountain.

An amazing area sunset, everyone seemed to have captured it.

True sunset occurs a minute or so before you see the sun disappear. 

What you see is a kind of mirage; the light is getting bent around the horizon by the effect of refraction.

We had so much fun per usual running logs and playing in surf. 

Stuff like we always do around here!

For as long as the ageless memory of legend recalls, the Quileutes flourished in the territory which originally stretched from their isle-strewn Pacific beaches along the rain forest rivers to the glaciers of Mt. Olympus. 

Today, Quileutes need only lift their eyes to see the burial place of chiefs atop James Island, or A-Ka-Lat -- translated as "Top of the Rock". This sense of cultural continuity is their birthright and heritage. Climbed around on logs and played in surf. 

Beautiful days and enjoyed the resort

So natural there. 

Had to laugh. A man paid for his room and said," got a pool, right?", the girl answered, "yeah, we have the whole Pacific Ocean!"

Still chuckling...
